Some info on “Ephemeroptera Quarterly”:
“Ephemeroptera Quarterly” is a micro edition zine featuring artists from near and abroad. Collected within its pages, and buried in its grooves, are artifacts from places and times existing all at once and independent of one another… at the same time.
“Ephemeroptera” is a celebration of all things temporary, which is everything. Nothing is archival, acid free, secure, or permanent. These fleeting moments define what life is and memory is not perfect and won’t serve as a faithful re-telling of anything. Multiple angles paint a clearer picture but cloud any one real truth with over-informing. It is true that the publication itself reads in a linear format, but the lathe-cut reminds us that life is cyclical. And while the record’s run-out groove seemingly turns infinite, the sound fades with every pass leaving only memory, which will also fade away.
